Producer Accused of Soliciting Nude Photos of Minors Resigns From CNN

After Project Veritas’ allegations that Rick Saleeby solicited nude photographs of underage girls, Rick Saleeby was fired as a CNN producer.

Matt Dornic, the head of strategic communications at the network, confirmed Wednesday that Saleeby had resigned within the last few weeks. Project Veritas interviewed a woman who claimed Saleeby attempted to acquire photos of her 15-year old daughter. According to the conservative group, he is also under investigation in Fairfax County, Virginia. His home was searched and officers took electronics.

One of Project Veritas videos shows a man who the group claims is Saleeby and describes his sexual fantasies towards young girls.

Saleeby was present Tuesday at Fairfax County Court. Project Veritas reported that Saleeby was confronted outside, but he received no comment from either him or his lawyer.

Project Veritas obtained a statement from the department, which stated that investigators were investigating allegations involving juvenile victims. However, it didn’t mention Saleeby by name.

“Detectives assigned to the Child Exploitation Squad of the Major Crimes Bureau are leading the investigation. While we will eventually be transparent about our findings, safeguarding the personal privacy and safety of victims and witnesses as well as maintaining the integrity of our criminal investigation are of paramount importance,” police stated.

“At this time, we are not in a position to provide additional detail on the scope or nature of this investigation,” they added.

John Griffin, another CNN producer, was fired this month by a grand jury on charges of sex crime with minors. Griffin was accused of trying to persuade women to allow him to train their daughters sexually. Griffin pleaded not guilty during his arraignment at a Vermont federal court. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 10 years to life imprisonment .

Network is currently facing new headaches due to possible sex crime among its producers.

CNN also fired Chris Cuomo as CNN’s anchor after evidence that he assisted his brother former governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, after getting accused for sexual misconduct. Meanwhile, anchor Don Lemon was involved in a controversy when he texted Jussie Smollett, telling him that the Chicago police didn’t believe this fake hate crime story.
