Trump Believes Stefanik ‘Could Be President In About 6 Years’

Earlier this week, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) recently received a very high endorsement by former President Donald Trump at a fundraiser at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.

The fundraiser was held for Stefanik and many other GOP hopefuls. Trump’s political action team also attended. The ex-commander in chief teased the crowd by hinting that he might run again for president in 2024.

“I want to congratulate Elise on her success. Man is she moving fast. That means at this rate she’ll be President in about 6 years,” Trump said in a comment that will surely raise eyebrows among Trump’s America First fanatics.

“She’s always been a friend and people would say she’s upwardly mobile. She goes to Washington as a young beautiful woman who took over and all of a sudden she becomes a rocket ship, she’s the boss. She’s been a great boss, a strong boss,” Trump stated.

Trump supported Stefanik in May 2021 to replace Rep. Liz Cheney as House Republican Conference Chairman. Cheney, a “Never Trumper” who voted to impeach the ex-head of state.

Cheney was one of the two House Republicans who sat on the House Select Committee that investigated the Capitol riot.

Despite Stefanik’s initial criticisms of Donald Trump’s actions, has endorsed eight women from all over the country who are running to be House members in 2022.

Monica De La Cruz, one of many Republican hispanic women running for office in Texas, is one of those who received endorsements De La Cruz hopes to win Texas’ 15th congressional District.

“I look forward to supporting these women across the finish line in both their primaries and general elections. Make no mistake, GOP women will be the first ones through the breach to fire Nancy Pelosi once and for all,” Stefanik said.
